A PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT SERIES EXPLORING CHILDREN'S REACTIONS TO LIFE IN LOCKDOWN
RAISING FUNDS FOR THE STARS APPEAL AND
ACTION FOR CHILDREN'S COVID-19 CAMPAIGNS
BY SALISBURY PHOTOGRAPHER GEMMA BRUNTON
WHAT IS IT?
'CHILDREN OF SALISBURY - LIFE AFTER LOCKDOWN'
IS A PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT SERIES DOCUMENTING THE YOUNGER GENERATION OF SALISBURY AND HOW EXPERIENCING LOCKDOWN LED THEM TO DISCOVER WHAT WAS REALLY IMPORTANT TO THEIR LIVES.
Salisbury photographer Gemma Brunton is inviting families with children aged thirteen and under living in Salisbury to apply to be included in this symbolic portrait series. They will have their portrait included in a special archival, strictly limited edition hardback book, each one signed and numbered with a copy presented to The Duchess of Cambridge, The Earl of Pembroke and The Bishop of Salisbury.
This is an opportunity to be a part of a project that will grow in significance in years and generations to come as the children of Salisbury grow up and reflect on how Coronavirus shaped them. These portraits will chronicle how, despite challenge, upheaval and restrictions on their daily lives, these children learnt to embrace the positivity of everyday pleasures we all have come to take for granted.
In return for your child's inclusion in the book you will be asked to make a donation to The Stars Appeal Hospital Heroes and Action For Children, both of which have crisis funds providing support for those affected by Covid-19. You can read more about the charities below.
